Moreno anuncia 250 millones de ayuda para mejorar energía e industrial

The president of the board of directors, Juanma Moreno, announced on Thursday an investment of 250 million euros for industrial competitiveness and to improve energy in nineteen industrial sectors, supporting ecological hydrogen, value chains, industrial estates, and sustainable mining.

Furthermore, Moreno also disclosed the activation of the Andalusia Midmarket Commercial Club with a range of incentives and services, including support for alternative markets, research and development, access to the Autonomous Resistance Fund, and assistance for internationalization, innovation, and participation in European projects.

President Andalusia, who participated in the closing of Cesur’s «global challenges of southern Spain» in Seville, emphasized the importance of increasing export growth. He highlighted that Andalusia was the second community in 2024 that most contributed to the increase in Spain’s exports, with over 40,000 million euros and 6,000 ordinary export companies.

He also emphasized the significance of attracting investments, stating that the community had attracted 16.3 billion euros in new industrial investments between August 2021 and 2024. Additionally, he mentioned that the extracted investment had surged more than 20 points above the Spanish average, reaching over 837 million euros.

At this moment, he noted that Andalusia’s business sector is thriving in strategic sectors, where factors like innovation and foreign market penetration are crucial. He pledged further support for them with incentives, such as 244 million euros for industrial development and research, of which 23 million euros have already been approved until 2027.

Moreno stressed that the government’s challenge in Andalusia is to foster entrepreneurship by creating a conducive ecosystem for businesses. He emphasized the importance of political and institutional stability, tax pressure reduction, legal certainty, commitment to dialogue, administrative simplification, and streamlining procedures to avoid energy loss.

«All this is part of the Andalusian roadmap, a management model that works in Andalusia,» he added. He highlighted that Andalusia in 2025 is different from before and is prouder because it is more aware of its reality and capacity to compete.

Therefore, he stated that the community has more power, and certain sectors can grow further. He referred to positive economic forecasts for the next year, as reflected in BBVA’s research on growth in Spain.

He reiterated that his government’s goal is to «unleash entrepreneurial talent in Andalusia so that the natural talent we have in our land can flourish and create.»

For Moreno, a government should not «disrupt» but «create the most favorable ecosystem for businesses and workers.» He emphasized the importance of political and institutional stability, which is currently a hallmark of the community, ensuring security and confidence in business operations.

Additionally, he highlighted the need to reduce tax pressure, making fiscal figures related to the productive system dynamic and competitive on a global scale.

He underscored that Andalusia is currently the second most competitive community in fiscal terms, trailing only Madrid in Spain’s general regime. He emphasized simplifying procedures and paperwork to avoid wasting energy in administrative hurdles created in Spain and Europe, making it easier for citizens to invest.

The president also highlighted Andalusia’s consecutive months of reducing unemployment and achieving a historic employment figure, currently standing at 3.5 million.

He mentioned that confidence in business in Andalusia is significant in Spain, as evidenced by the fact that in 2024, eight out of ten new companies established in the country were from Andalusia. He stressed the need to nurture and care for this expanding commercial fabric in Andalusia, which is crucial for governments, trade unions, and society.

Moreno emphasized that Andalusia is a major export force in Spain. He stressed the importance of competitiveness, internationalization, innovation, and development to continue promoting economic growth.

Furthermore, he underscored that many of the challenges ahead find solutions in Europe. He emphasized the need to contribute to and promote a competitive Europe in strategic sectors to ensure survival and competitiveness.

«We must make an effort to be proud of Europe, the best space in the world to create and develop a business. According to the pride of a 100% European generation, we cannot lose everything we have achieved with the unique values that make Europe special,» he said.

The event was attended by President Cesur, José Manuel González; CEO, Antonio Garamedi; former Prime Minister, Felipe González; Minister of Industry, Energy, and Mines, Jorge Paradela; Minister of Economy, Finance, and European Funds, Carolina España; and Minister of Labor, Company, and Self-Employment, Rocío Blanco.
