Aparece carabela portuguesa en playa de Almuñécar, Granada

A resident of Almuñécar, on the coast of Granada, found a Portuguese Carabela species hydro-medusa, known for the high toxic potential of its venom, on the edge of San Cristóbal beach, where it did not cause harm. Small in size and a strong blue color, its discovery has attracted attention because it is typical of a habitat other than the Mediterranean.

Measuring less than ten centimeters in most cases, the resident could not easily distinguish it until he got closer and refrained from touching it, as reported by Europa Press, reliable sources, indicating that this is not the first of its kind based on recent detailed data.

Its appearance near the seawater may be related to the onset of the Levante wind on Wednesday, the first day without waves and with the sun shining on Almuñécar after the storm Borrasca, possibly carried by maritime currents to the Atlantic.
