A total of 24 Arago food companies, 14 more than last year, will be present at the 38th edition of Sale Gourmets, taking place in Madrid between April 7 and 10. They will be collaborating with Aragon Food, which has provided a 288 square meter space where they can not only showcase their products but also demonstrate and be used in the kitchen.

«This event is a fantastic opportunity to showcase not only the Aragonese food heritage, which is diverse and of high quality, but also its high capacity for innovation, exemplified in new consumption and culinary preparations that can be enjoyed at the Aragon Food stand.

«These three days are the perfect combination of tradition and innovation, two essential ingredients for the development of Aragonese cuisine, which already enjoys a great reputation in Spain,» says the director general of food innovation and promotion.

The Aragon Food space, in addition to the exhibition area, also has a second area for dynamization and «presentation» events, which during most of the three days of the event will host an intense program of activities.

A breakfast with organic Aragonese products will kick off the activities program on Monday, April 7. On the same day, the Origins of Aragon will be presented, an association that brings together a dozen regulatory councils for Aragonese protected designations of origin, providing a tasting of their products from associations such as Aragon Termasco, Teruel Ham, and Bead Pink Tomato.

Additionally, the Origins will also present the food space of Spain, with a «showcooking» led by Aragonese chef Antonio Palacios from the Cooks of Aragon Association.

On Tuesday, the spotlight will be on the gastronomy of the province of Huesca. Throughout the day, those who visit the Aragon Foods booth can sample a variety of foods such as certified cheeses, chocolate sweets from Pirina, as well as a selection of products like sausages, rice, and sweets made in the Altoaragonez province via Huesca.

Meat products and Pirina trout will also be featured, all accompanied by a wide range of DOP Somontano wines.

The gourmet products of Teruel will take center stage on Wednesday. A presentation of black truffle sourced from Teruel in the morning and a tasting of caviar and Sarrion Plate accompanied by black truffles will be the focus of the day, where visitors can also enjoy rice grown at higher altitudes in Spain and the culinary possibilities offered by a fruit.

Biota cheeses (Zaragoza) and Alfambra Perales (Teruel), home to the most awarded cheese at the 2024 World Cup, along with Aragon Termasco, will be the final highlights of the Aragonese presence at the Gourmets hall.

The companies and organizations coming to the Gourmets hall under the Aragon Food umbrella include: Catering 2000, Almazara Artal, Five Vile Region, Barbastro Chamber, Truffles, SarrioN Pearl, Food Huesca, Botulium, Dogoyo Oil Regulation Tips, Tartueria, Aragon. Frityn Foods, Di Mori Black Truffles, Nogero Oils, Somontano DOP Regulatory, Belenguer 1918, grandes vinos, jardineros, quelatos, huertos, listas de arragón, and professionals of the meat sector.
