La junta directiva acusa al PSOE-A de crear una policía autónoma en Andalucía para favorecer a los independentes

The advisor to the presidency, interior, social dialogue, and administrative simplification, Antonio Sanz, denounced on Wednesday that the proposal from PSOE-«to create an autonomous police force in Andalusia» only follows «whitewashing and sweetening missions to Catalan independence» by the government of Pedro Sánchez.
During his appearance in front of the parliamentary plenary, Antonio Sanz warned about the possibility that the Socialists make this proposal «just when we are facing the ninth blackmail, the ninth gift, from the Sánchez government.»
He recalled that «PSOE Andalusia was advocating for decades to develop this autonomous police force, yet they never took action or delved into this project.»
The Minister of the Presidency asserted that «behind the idea of creating an autonomous police force in Andalusia is the gradual dismantling of the National Police and the Civil Guard.» However, he emphasized that «the people of Andalusia are not silent, and I know perfectly well what is behind this idea.»
At the same time, he urged, «Instead of trying to dismantle the state in our country, as is already happening in Catalonia, what we should do once and for all is provide our security forces with the human and material resources necessary to fight, for example, against the drug trafficking that we see in our rivers.»
He also stated that «it would be a very serious setback because in Andalusia, we are perfectly organized with a great Civil Guard, a great National Police, and a great police unit with its powers, established in the state.»
Antonio Sanz revealed a new development regarding the activities of this unit, the future intervention in the field of sustainable tourism, with a special focus on the control and inspection of tourist housing and the performance of any inspection activity, in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism and External Andalusia, collected in the future decision of Andalusia.
Furthermore, in the field of gender violence, new strategies will be considered in a collaborative activity as a complement to the actions carried out by the state security forces and agencies.
These two projects are complemented by the expansion of the UPA’s activities in Cibersurita and, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Consumption, promoting activity in the fight against intimidation.
Antonio Sanz praised the attached police unit, saying, «I send them all my love and recognition for the unparalleled work they do, ensuring the safety of Andalusia 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.»
Regarding the unit’s activities, he mentioned the new agreement with the Ministry of the Interior, signed in February of last year.
The advisor explained that the growth of human resources will allow for current and future work in the coming years.
As an example, he mentioned the consolidation of common activities (gambling, environment, minors, etc.), the Urom group in the field of investigations of waste from electrical and electronic devices, and the Garza Group in coordinated work with the Inspection Service of the Andalusian Board and in the protection of the Andalusian coast in all its aspects.
The advisor reiterated «the immense satisfaction of signing the agreement with the interior, which put an end to the alarming situation of human resources suffered by the attached unit, which did not receive new completions for 2013.»
The Minister of the Presidency recalled that «all this led to a very worrying numerical decrease, with only 49.6% of the total workforce, that is, 360 officials out of the 725 collected in the employment catalog of the General Police Directorate.»
Antonio Sanz took the opportunity to examine the conditions of the mentioned agreement: «The commitment of the Ministry of the Interior includes the immediate assignment of 70 troops, a procedure that is already planned after the composition of the Joint Monitoring Commission on March 4th.»
To this, we must add the arrival of another 50 agents before the first year of the agreement. Later, and in the remaining three years, 50 officials will be incorporated annually.
This timeline will determine that the unit will have just over 630 officials at the end of the agreement, which, although still far from the assigned number, would allow for some of the functions that have been affected by this shortage, as well as the implementation of new projects.
Antonio Sanz appreciated these figures as evidence that «Once again, this government has shown the best it knows how to do: dialogue, dialogue, and dialogue until exhaustion for the good of Andalusia.»
