The starting number is 789 classrooms, and a global drop of almost 500 children is expected due to birth figures. Aragon announced in a press release that 20 new tea rooms, 9 more in special education, and 6 early rural schooling rooms will be offered.

In the province of Zaragoza, where it is expected that 453 children will apply for the current course according to registration figures, 500 groups will be offered. There are 13 more than those in this 2024/2025 course at that level of teaching, as emphasized by the General Manager of Planning, Centers, and FP, Luis Mallada.

«We offer several groups that are working in this course, even if the number of students decreases significantly, so the availability of places is more than enough, and we guarantee free choice of center,» said the regional head. Mallada also explained that all educational centers that currently have one path and left last year with two will leave with two. «There will be more than enough places, so that families can freely choose,» he insisted, noting that «if there is a request, during the process of new classrooms can be opened,» as happened last year.

Regarding the province of Huesca, with a forecast of 64 fewer students, the initial offer of groups for 3 years, the advancing students will be 165 groups, and in Teruel, 124.

This province is the only one that maintains an upward forecast in the number of students who will request a place, with 39 more children than this course. In Aragon, applications for a place are expected between April 24 and 30, with 468 fewer children.

For the next 2025/2026 academic year, six new infant school rooms of two years will be opened, prioritizing the rural environment to provide families with reconciliation opportunities.

In Teruel, there will be two: in Utrillas and Caminreal; In Huesca, three: Oniñena and Pomar de Cinca, and in Zaragoza, at Ceip Antonio Martínez Garay, in Box.

Regarding special education classrooms, it is planned to allow three new classrooms at Ceip Labordeta, in Zaragoza, in the letter and at Ceip Ramón y Cajal (Ebro Pina).
