Gamarra (PP) apoya la política de alquiler accesible de Azcón y Feijóo

The Secretary-General of the PP, Cuca Galarra, visited the city of Zaragoza on Tuesday, where she defended the President of the Government of Aragon, Jorge Azón, and the President of this party, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, against occupation and affordable rents.

Galarra emphasized the need for policies that serve the citizens and highlighted the housing problem in Spain caused by left-wing policies. She lamented that 47,000 young people in the region are unable to fulfill their dreams due to a lack of affordable housing. Galarra praised the housing plan promoted by Alberto Núñez Feijóo, emphasizing the need for solutions and real actions.

She criticized the previous government for only building 86 houses and highlighted the obstacles created by the current government, which has led to a decrease in available housing. Galarra mentioned the Asturias declaration and the Zaragoza mayor’s summit, which focused on housing policies and public-private collaborations to address the housing crisis.

In this context, she supported a national housing access tax and criticized the government’s stance on social taxes, advocating for a reduction in VAT. Galarra also mentioned two proposed laws by the PP to combat occupation and mobilize public land, emphasizing the need for swift implementation.

Jorge Azcón, the President of Aragon, stressed the priority of housing policies for his government. He highlighted the significant increase in housing projects under his leadership compared to the previous administration. Azcón mentioned the Aragon Plus Housing Plan, which aims to provide affordable housing for thousands of residents in the region.

The government’s focus is on promoting housing projects in various areas to cater to different needs, including those in small municipalities affected by depopulation. Azcón criticized the national government’s housing policies and highlighted the regional government’s efforts to pass a housing law and reduce property transfer taxes in the upcoming budget.

Overall, both Galarra and Azcón emphasized the importance of housing policies to address the housing crisis in Aragon and provide affordable housing solutions for residents. Their collaborative efforts aim to improve access to housing and stimulate economic growth in the region.
