Competition, speed, passion»: with this ambitious slogan the 2024 Convention dedicated to the Premium Arval Center unveiled the network of excellent repairers who heard about the ambitious project «PROACTIVELY AWAKEN«, one of the PUBLICATIONS of Arval’s renewed innovation and sustainability strategy. A year and a half improvement process that was gradually shared with the Arval Centers and Premium Centers in Italy, but is now ready to begin. I attended the press presentation of the project, where Efrén Bresolin, Director of Aftermarket Networks at Arval Italy, outlined the guidelines for the future of the Arval network capable of adapting to the dynamics of the market and the automotive industry.

OVER 1.1 MILLION REPAIR EVENTS IN 2024

One of the highlights of the Arval Convention was the presentation of the innovative process PROACTIVELY AWAKEN which will make maintenance and repair management more effective. The figures presented at the press conference speak of a growing network by the end of 2024 with 1,826 centers in the Arval preferred network: 206 The Premium Arval Center (multiservices) and 1,620 The Arval Center (specialists in individual services, +110 compared to 2023). The Arval network uses 6,346 repair centers in total achieving up to 1.1 million maintenance/repair events in just one year (of which 72 thousand required parts and components), an increase compared to the 2022 data we discussed here.

FLEET USING FLEXIBLE AND LAUNCH SERVICES

All this against a fleet of over 264 thousand leased vehicles (59% Corporate, 37% Retail, and 4% Replacement Cars), 8,900 vehicles for flexible rental service for individuals Arval Flex and 1,800 vehicles for Arval ReLease second-hand car rental. The Arval Italia fleet is currently composed of increasingly electrified vehicles (excluding Mild Hybrid vehicles falling under the Gasoline ICE category), but with a higher component of diesel vehicles:

  • Diesel, 53%;
  • Gas, 21%;
  • Hybrid The complement is complete, 20%;
  • Electric, 5%;
  • Methane and LPG, 2%;

TRAINING AND NEW SKILLS FOR ARVAL CENTERS

The transition to a more sustainable mobility requires skilled labor (as demonstrated during the review of our electric car at a Premium Arval Center) and killing. For this reason, Arval invested in 156 hours of training in 2024 with courses on various topics, incl. market and management, digital tools, electrification, technical skills.

Starting from 2025 Training will be further expanded with the introduction of the PEI Certification (Person Qualified for live electrical work), which will be combined with the active PES-PAV (Skilled People – Advised Person) programs with 1,900 network structures authorized to perform maintenance and repair of disconnected electrified cars from the power.
