Ruiz Boix gana primaria del PSOE en Cádiz y repetirá como Secretario General.

The mayor of San Roque (Cádiz), Juan Carlos Ruiz Boix, secured his position as the Secretary General of the PSOE provincial de Cádiz on Sunday during the primary elections. He received 1,823 votes, representing 51.15% of the total votes cast, and had an 82-vote lead over the other candidate, the mayor of Rota, Ruiz Arana, who received 1,741 votes.
The announcement was made by the General Coordinator of the Mayor’s Organization Committee and the PSOE Congress in Cádiz, Juan Cornejo. He highlighted the democratic process and the high level of participation in the primary elections, emphasizing the unity and cohesion within the party.
Juan Carlos Ruiz Boix expressed his gratitude for the trust placed in him to continue as the Secretary General of the PSOE in Cádiz. He emphasized the importance of the «United to Win, Cádiz» project, focusing on unity and strong leadership to achieve success in the upcoming regional elections.
The mayor of San Roque also addressed the challenges facing the PSOE in Cádiz, particularly the goal of supporting María Jesús Montero as the next President of the Junta de Andalucía. He pledged to strengthen Pedro Sánchez’s government project and to promote economic growth and social justice in Spain.
A total of 4,768 PSOE members in the province of Cádiz participated in the primary elections, which took place at 45 polling stations across the province. After winning the primaries, Juan Carlos Ruiz Boix will now work on forming a provincial executive, a process that will be validated at the Provincial Congress on April 5th.
