21 districts, the program in the field of culture, tourism, and sports in Madrid, proposes this week an artistic offer that includes live music, circus, cinema, and theater from different districts.
On April 2, at 6:00 p.m., the Municipal Public Library of Portazgo (Vallecas Puente) will organize the animation workshop Píxelo. A playful game in an architectural environment for the whole family. Through photography, very humorous animations with an absurd touch will be created.
On the 4th, at 5:30 p.m., the documentary pedals arrive at the youth center in Hontalbilla (Fuencarral-El Pardo) with África en cineculación by Isabel Segura and Carmelo López. An interactive activity that initiates a series of screenings to be held in different youth centers in Madrid, where the audience will be responsible for providing enough energy for the film projection equipment through pedaling on a motor/alternator installed on a simple stationary bicycle. The result will be a completely harmless film session in terms of pollution and waste.
On the same Friday, at 7:00 p.m., the Galileo Cultural Center (Chamberí) will be filled with feminine magic and empowerment with the concert of Meritxell Neddermann, in collaboration with AIE (Society of Artists or Informers Interpreters) and within the Aienrut-Artists Program. An opportunity to discover her ability to mix genres, from classical music, Jazz, funky, to Indie, experimenting with loops, pedals, and Voder.
On Saturday, April 5, at 6:00 p.m., at the Alfredo Kraus Cultural Center (Fuencarral-El Pardo), De punto will be performed, a circus show directed by Enric Romaguera and Nacho Diago. This assembly, which combines circus arts with magic, object theater, and live music, proposes a poetic and innovative experience, inviting the audience to reflect and enjoy a unique moment.
At 7:00 p.m., in the Cultural Center (Hortaleza), MARTA MANSILLA FLIETISTA will be featured, with a performance of her project Do · do · project. A neoso Jazz quintet with a solid, surprising, and personal proposal with different musical influences, ranging from Jazz, Vanguard-Garde, to soul and hip hop, generating their own style.
On Sunday, April 6, Run the orchestra an interactive activity where participants can experience the thrill of conducting musicians at Alfredo Kraus Park (Hortaleza). This initiative aims to break down barriers between the audience and musical performance, allowing everyone to playfully and educationally experience the excitement and responsibility of conducting an orchestra.
Finally, at the same time, at the Valdebernardo Cultural Center (Vicálvaro), Bocadillo by Eli Donnola, a theatrical and musical show to remember the joy of singing with sounds. A symphony of dreams and laughter where each note is a step towards the magic of the stage.

On April 9, the Madrid Street Art Project will offer the family workshop «Ecocam» at the Municipal Public Library María Zambrano (Tetuán), proposing the creation of a room with recycled materials. On the 11th, at the Valdebernardo Cultural Center (Vicálvaro), the Argentine actor Héctor Alteri will perform his work How 3000 years ago with José Luis Merlín on the guitar. On the same day, at the Paco de Lucía Cultural Center (Latín), Juan Berlanga, the dancer in Spain, will perform Juancabal, a piece that invites exploration of the roots of popular tradition, intertwining myth and reality.
On April 12, at the Zazuar Cultural Center (Villa de Vallecas), the company Kampai, winner of the 21 Districts prize in the choreographic dance contest of Madrid, will share two urban dance shows, Brújula and Espejismo. Both can also be enjoyed the next day at the Paco de Lucía Cultural Center (Latín). Finally, the Casa de Vacas Cultural Center (Jubilación) will host Celeste, a shadow theater with almost wordless puppets about Greek mythology, created by Luz, Micro, and Punto.

This program in the field of culture, tourism, and sports for the revitalization of neighborhoods through artistic and cultural actions was born in October 2020, offering free cultural activities in different districts. Its main objectives are to support artistic fabrics, motivate citizens’ participation in the city’s cultural life, create new audiences, and optimize the use of various municipal resources and spaces designed for culture.
