Participación de la Oficina Verde en Consultas sobre Eficiencia Energética

The housing police delegate and president of the Municipal Housing and Land Company (EMVS Madrid), Álvaro González, highlighted the achievements of the municipal ACE Green Office. A visit he made this morning to its facilities on the occasion of the third anniversary of its implementation.
The Green Office informs about the benefits of the environment (by reducing polluting gases), health benefits, energy bill savings, and property reassessment. Additionally, it is an important case where you can learn about all public subsidies in rehabilitation and regeneration, such as municipal aid for rehabilitation plans, transformation, adaptation, subsidies from the Community of Madrid, etc.
González was pleased because «the Green Office achieved its initial goals to inform, raise awareness, and facilitate access to energy rehabilitation assistance» and emphasized that «thanks to its work in Madrid’s rehabilitation, it was possible to reduce emissions into the atmosphere by over 15,700 tons of CO₂ per year and save over 66 million kWh in the residential sector.» The policy delegate stressed that the Green Office «served as a support platform for neighbors, property owners, professional associations, associations, and companies in the sector, contributing to the progress of energy transition in the residential field.»
Since its implementation, the office has received 5,579 consultations with individuals and companies. The issue that citizens requested more information or advice on was rehabilitation assistance, with 4,539 consultations, and within those, 80% were related to energy efficiency works. Additionally, citizens have sought advice or information on topics related to regulations, technical rehabilitation, or energy-saving measures.
Primarily, private citizens made these inquiries (2,688), followed by representatives of property communities (1,615). The Green Office participated in most of these phone consultations (2,296 calls) and in-person visits without a prior appointment (1,924 visits). Depending on the districts, the peaks were directed towards citizens, especially in Fuencarral-El Pardo, with 124 inquiries; Linear City, with 99, and Moratalaz, with 76. Additionally, in the first five months of 2022, a mobile service of the Green Office visited the 21 districts of the city and engaged with over 1,300 individuals.
Furthermore, the Green Office has participated in 65 technical days, international fairs like SIMA, the reconstruction, or the generation of its website (www.emvs.es/oficinverde) receiving over 6,000 monthly visits. This pioneering office also engages in municipal and European projects like Cities 2030, the Circular Economy Expert Group (ODEC), or Madrid 360 Solar.
