But how does it work? Practically through pyrolysis, a process in which plastics are broken down at high temperatures, without the presence of oxygen, generating a synthetic gas used for electricity production.

First, the plastic waste is crushed until it becomes a fine powder. Subsequently, it is introduced into the generator, where it is heated to over 2000 degrees and this heat triggers a thermal energy reaction that activates a steam turbine.

In this way, the turbine generates electricity, while a filtering system reduces emissions. The result is an effective process that not only produces clean energy but also helps reduce the amount of plastic waste on the planet.

A patented invention with high expectations

Caris has patented the invention with the United States Patent and Trademark Office and intends to secure funding for the production of his generator in different sizes, adapting it to the varying needs of each application.

The inventor believes that the generator can provide electricity at low costs and in an environmentally friendly way, because currently, the availability of plastic waste can be considered practically infinite and free. He even believes it can be a better alternative than solar panels.
