No alteramos los principios de voto como el PSOE

The spokesperson of the Popular Group in Congress, Miguel Tellado, stated on Tuesday that there was no «change in speech» within the PP that would align with the community budgets of Vox Valencian. He emphasized that their stance did not «change principles with votes,» as the PSOE of Pedro Sánchez does.

During a press conference in Congress following the spokesperson meeting, Tellado expressed that it was «great news» that the Valencian community will have some budgets for 2025 as they are public accounts for «reconstruction.»

«It’s unfortunate that the Spanish government, instead of supporting the Valencian community, may have budgets to address the consequences of floods, to be mischievous, as I saw yesterday in serving Bolaños,» he said.

When asked about the red lines for the PP, after the party dome acknowledged that there were approaches to the Vox pact that were veiled during negotiations, Tellado stated that «the red lines of the People’s Party must defend what they have always defended in all issues.»

«We are not like the Socialist Party, we do not change principles through votes, as the PSOE does every time they reach an agreement with independence,» said the «popular» leader.

He further insisted that it was «good news» that the Valencian community will have budgets for the year 2025. «And I believe it would be normal and reasonable that the Spanish government congratulates themselves because the Valencian generals will have the necessary resources for the reconstruction that the Valencians require at this moment, abundantly.»

At this moment, Tellado reiterated that «the Popular Party has not changed its speech.» «We defend what we have always defended and do not exchange principles for votes,» he reiterated.

When asked if the national PP is against the Green Pact that was mentioned, Tellado indicated that his party has already explained the position and that «it is sufficient to go to any electoral program» from their training to understand it. «Therefore, there are no changes in the discourse of the Popular Party,» he stated.

Sources from the National PP leadership believe that these budgets are «essential» to meet the recovery needs of the Valencia province after DANA on October 29. They also noted that the Valencian community is an undeclared region, and therefore, the PP has exercised responsibility.
