Muere hombre herido por arma de fuego en Puente Genil, Córdoba
The man wounded by a firearm in a fight in Puente Genil on Monday died after being airlifted to the Reina Sofía Hospital in Córdoba, where he remained until Tuesday, according to hospital sources to Europa Press.
The incident reportedly took place on Monday after 3:00 p.m. in the middle of the municipality, as sources close to the case informed Europe Press. The Civil Guard officers and medical personnel rushed to the scene, providing assistance to the injured man and later transferring him by medical helicopter to the Reina Sofía Hospital in Córdoba, where he ultimately passed away on Tuesday.
On Tuesday, the Civil Guard officers discovered a firearm during one of the various searches of the house conducted in the vicinity of Murcia Street in Córdoba. Currently, the officers are investigating whether the firearm found is the one that caused the man’s gunshot wound.
In connection to the incident, a man has been arrested for his alleged involvement, while investigations are ongoing and statements are being taken from various individuals by the law enforcement officers at the Instituto Armado, who are overseeing the procedures.
