Motorola does not radically reinvent the Moto G stylus for 2025, but improves the mid-range smartphone where it matters. And with other stylish smartphones like the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra priced at $1,300, this could be all you need.
The Moto G Stylus features a super HD 6.7-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a maximum brightness of 3000 nits. Like its predecessor, this year’s model also boasts a 5,000 mAh battery that Motorola claims should offer 40 hours on a single charge. It is powered by a Snapdragon 6 3-3, 8GB of RAM, and 128GB or 256GB of storage, a significant step up from the previous generation Moto G stylus.
In addition to the upgraded specs, the Moto G Stylus is also much more water and dust resistant. The phone has an IP68 water protection rating and MIL-STD-810H certification, which means it is covered when it comes to dust and rain, and can survive drops from «almost 1.5 meters and full submersion in nearly 1.5 meters of water for 30 minutes,» according to Motorola.
Motorola’s main improvement to the Moto G Stylus is making it more responsive. The new stylus is «6.4x» more responsive than the previous generation and can also be used for new Android features like Circle to Search and Motorola’s «Sketch to Image,» which can transform scribbles into detailed images.
