La junta directiva ha pagado alrededor de 15 millones de euros en pagos PAC y ayuda para apicultura

The Extremadura council has paid around 15 million euros for various common agricultural policy (CAP) payments as well as for Agro-Medio for beekeeping to conserve biodiversity. Specifically, the Ministry of Agriculture, Sustainable Development, and Growth proceeded to pay nearly 8.9 million euros in aid for different CAP programs and over 6 million in aid for the mentioned Agro-Medio, as stated by the board in a press release on Sunday.
Among the CAP aid mentioned earlier, nearly 6 million euros were paid for basic income for sustainability, close to a million in complementary redistributive aid, over 700,000 euros in complementary aid for young people, and more than 1.3 million for ecological schemes. The General Directorate of CAP also paid 6,057,003.22 euros for beekeeping aid, aimed at preserving biodiversity and corresponding to the 2024 campaign.
This annual Agro-Medio aid is granted to those who meet the established commitments over a five-year period, with the primary goal of maintaining an adequate level of activity in beekeeping in the region, which has very beneficial and irreplaceable implications for biodiversity conservation in the region.
This program aims to help maintain an appropriate level of activity in transhuming scars, as it is an activity that promotes the preservation of wild flora, especially herbaceous and shrub layers, key elements of the landscape, sustaining populations in municipalities and areas with delicate stability, attention, and mountainous care.
