Huesca y Inetum colaboran en formación tecnológica de FP

The government of Aragón and Inetum, a leading European digital services company, have reached a strategic agreement to enhance technological training in the development of FP applications (DAW) and «computer calculation systems administration» (ASIR) taken at the Sierra de Guara and Hueca institutes. Within it, the content will be tailored to the sector’s needs, and students’ dual training will be promoted for better future employability.
The key figures involved in this agreement were the Vice President and Minister of the Presidency, Economy, and Justice, Mar Vaquero, and the Minister of Education, Culture, and Sport, Tomasa Hernández. Representing Inetum were President and CEO Jacques Pommeraud, Iberia Latam CEO Manuel García del Valle, and Spain General Manager Ion Ander Bordonaba. They were joined by Huesca’s Mayor, Lorena Orduna, and Walqa’s General Director, Carlos Ortas.
The aim of this agreement is to increase commitment to vocational training and meet the real needs of the job market in the technology field. Selected students will have the opportunity to carry out their internships at the offices located in the Walqa Technology Park, a facility under the Department of Presidency, Economy, and Justice, which played a role in this alliance following Inetum’s arrival at the Oscende facilities.
This project follows Inetum’s success in Tarragona, where the company made history in vocational training by becoming the first technology consultant to teach its own FP program. Starting in September 2024 at Frances Vidal I Institutes I Barraquer in Tarragona, this program has yielded positive results, with a 70% average hiring rate among participating students.
The Vice President of the Aragón government emphasized the priority of providing the professional profile demanded by the market, ensuring that the region becomes a hub of technology for those aspiring to a career in the country. The Education Minister highlighted the essential collaboration with the productive sector to adapt FP curriculum content to real business needs, reflecting the exciting future Aragón is experiencing in technology and promoting dual vocational training.
The Mayor of Huesca considered this agreement as «great news,» underscoring its importance for Huesca and Aragón. The announcement also expressed satisfaction with the program’s implementation in two educational institutions in the city.
«We support talent in Aragón to foster employment and make an impact. With this program and the opportunity for scholarships for top students, we establish a direct link between training and employment in the technology sector,» stated Inetum’s President and CEO, Jacques Pommeraud, following the agreement announcement. This event took place in the capital, marking the participation of the leading digital services company.
Inetum and the Aragón government are reinforcing their commitment to quality and youth employability in the technology sector. This program benefits students and the company while strengthening Aragón’s technological ecosystem, preparing the next generation of ICT professionals for future digital challenges.
This initiative is a significant step towards aligning vocational education with actual labor market needs, setting a new standard for technological training in Spain.
