Speech by the President of Georgia, Salomé Zourabichvili
At 8:30 am, the President of Georgia, Salomé Zourabichvili, will address the European Parliament. Georgia has recently witnessed massive protests following the government’s decision to suspend the country’s accession process to the EU after the controversial parliamentary elections of October 2024, which, according to Zourabichvili, were fraudulent and effectively stolen. In a resolution adopted on November 28, MEPs rejected the election results and called for them to be repeated within a year.
