La Policía Nacional de Pontevedra arrested an individual involved in a scam with nine warrants from different courts in Galicia and Madrid, with three of them leading to imprisonment.
On March 17th, a bank employee in Pontevedra called 091 to report the presence of an individual they recognized from previous occasions as a suspected identity thief.
Police officers responded to the call and upon identification, they verified that up to six arrest warrants issued by courts in A Coruña, Vigo, Ferrol, and Santiago de Compostela were valid, as well as three warrants for imprisonment issued by criminal courts in A Coruña and Madrid. The arrest warrant for robbery with force was from a court in Ferrol.
During their investigation, the officers also discovered, with the help of the bank employee, an identification document used by the individual under a different name, which had been reported stolen in Valladolid.
Further examination by the Provincial Scientific Police Brigade revealed that the individual had two identities, one Portuguese and the other Spanish, both linked to the criminal activities mentioned in the warrants.
After the completion of the police report, the man was taken into custody and made available to the judicial authority.
