CCOO respalda el incentivo de producción voluntaria para mil funcionarios

The Obreras commissions will sign the Correos document this Saturday with the unions involved in the negotiations for a framework agreement – CCOO, UGT, CSIF, and SL. After reaching an agreement with the public company, CCOO, the voluntary departure of a thousand employees is established, the implementation of a new job offer, and the non-dismissal of 700 workers when closing centers, who will receive 15 compensations for their relocation.

CCOO, the majority union in the company with 40% representation (17% UGT, 16% CSIF, 13% SL, and 7% CGT), negotiated with E-Moys an extension of the framework agreement until June 30 to «achieve» almost 8,000 workforce reductions by 2028, as detailed in a statement.

Following the Negotiation Commission meeting on March 13, Correos sent a new document to all unions on Saturday, March 15, for their signature, completing the initial phase of the Framework Agreement on the basic lines for Collective Agreement IV, signed by CCOO, UGT, CSIF, and SL. The validity of the previous agreement concluded on December 31, and if not signed, it would not have been valid, along with all negotiation topics.

In CCOO, as emphasized by the union, this new document extends the term with a second phase, ending on June 30, to fulfill the commitments agreed upon by both parties, extending the negotiation of the topics included in the December 31, 2024 agreement to address the remaining issues.

The agreement document ensures job security and prevents the dismissal of nearly 800 employees affected by the closure of the 38 nodal centers planned by Correos in 2025. It includes a voluntary leave plan encouraging 1,000 – 1,200 officers from the potential pool of 2,100 applicants and initiates a new job consolidation process through relevant income tests that will be set in place, materializing the first job offers planned for 2028, the year the agreement is validated.

CCOO states that the job offer will balance voluntary workforce reductions and voluntary production incentives for employees, as agreed in the December 31, 2024 framework agreement, to address the rejuvenation plan for the 2024-2028 period outlined in the Framework Agreement.
