CUPERTINO, CALIFORNIA Apple announced today the release of iOS 18.2, iPadOS 18.2, and macOS Sequoia 15.2, introducing a new set of Apple Intelligence features that will enhance the user experience with iPhone, iPad, and Mac, building upon the initial set of capabilities already introduced. Apple Intelligence is the user-friendly personal intelligence system that provides helpful and relevant information while taking a significant step towards privacy in AI. Users can now explore new creative ways to visually express themselves with Image Playground, create the perfect emoji for any situation with Genmoji, and make writing even more dynamic with new enhancements in writing tools. Building on Apple Intelligence, users with an iPhone 16 or iPhone 16 Pro can instantly learn more about their surroundings with Camera Control’s visual intelligence. And now, with ChatGPT integrated into Writing Tools and Siri, users can leverage the ChatGPT experience without having to switch between apps, helping them get things done faster and easier than ever before.

Today, Apple Intelligence also begins language expansion with localized support in English for Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa, and the United Kingdom, providing even more users around the world with new and powerful ways to use their iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Additional languages, including Chinese, English (India), English (Singapore), French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Spanish, and Vietnamese, will be available throughout the year, with an initial set arriving with a software update in April.

Fun Design, Original Frames with Playground for Photos.

The Image Playground experience allows users to easily create fun and unique images with concepts such as themes, costumes, accessories, and locations. Users can add their own text descriptions and even create images that resemble a family member or friend using photos from their photo library. Image Playground generates images in different styles, including animation (a modern, lively 3D look) and illustration, offering images with simple shapes, clean lines, and color blocks.

The experience is directly integrated into Messages, making it easier than ever to create images for conversations, as well as in apps like Freeform, Keynote, and more. Image Playground is also available as a new dedicated app.
