Andalucía concluded the first phase of the Special Easter Traffic Operation 2025 with only one death due to a traffic accident on the interurban roads in the region.
According to the provisional balance from the Directorate General of Traffic, reported by Europa Press, from 3:00 p.m. last Friday to 8:00 p.m. this Sunday, there was only one fatality due to a traffic accident on the interurban roads in Andalucía.
It occurred in the municipality of Villanueva on Reina JV-5015, after 3:30 p.m. this Palm Sunday, when an SUV veered off the road on JV-5015, entering a dirt path, resulting in one fatality.
The Directorate General of Traffic estimated nearly 3.2 million trips on Andalusian roads during Easter week, representing 20% of all planned traffic in Spain.
