Teatro y poesía de la Edad de Oro en Semana Santa en Madrid.

The cultural agenda of the Madrid community will be reproduced this Easter for the premiere in cinemas of the show «Me han tratado con olvido (clásico en rebelión)». A proposal of theater and lyrical poetry from the voices of the great authors of the first Renaissance and the Spanish Golden Age to the company in Otros Arcadia (Black Hall, from Tuesday 15th to Saturday 19th).

Ana Contreras assumes the picturesque direction of the meeting and the selection and text version by Raúl Losánz. The distribution is directed by Eva Rifo and María Besant, accompanied by Ricardo Santana and the original music composed and performed by Miguel Husales.

Losánz included passages from María Zayas, Sor María de Santa Isabel (Marcia Belisarda), Leonor de Cueva y Silva, Catalina Clara Ramírez de Guzmán, Ana Carulén, Luisa de Carvajal y Mendoza, Flororenia del Narváez, Sor María de San José y Leonor Cente. They are articulated in a dialogue form in which two women, with very different perspectives and backgrounds, reflect on love, happiness, and the claim not only artistic but also ethical of the authors themselves, in their condition as women hindered by their time.

In the Green Hall (from Tuesday 15th to Sunday 20th), the performances of «El efecto» by Lucy Prebble, directed by Peruvian director Juan Carlos Fisher, will take place. It is a theatrical experience with Alicia Borrachero, Elena Rivera, Itzan Scamilla, and Francia that examines the origin of love.

Furthermore, the Red Concha Velasco Hall will host «Música para Hitler» (from Tuesday 15th to Sunday 20th). A drama based on real events in France occupied by the Nazis, when musician Pau Casals, exiled from January 1939 in the Galic country, received an invitation to perform in front of the German dictator. This moment in the biography of the famous cellist is recreated by Juan Carlos Rubio and Yolanda García Serrano in this play, directed by Juan Carlos Rubio and starring Carlos Hipélito, Kiti Mánver, Cristóbal Suárez, and Marta Velilla.
