Restablecer energía: el nuevo proveedor de electricidad verde

Electricity is one of the most used resources in the house, as it is used to power different types of systems (especially heating and air conditioning systems), as well as the lighting system, various devices used (PC, console, and other large devices). Therefore, on the one hand, it plays a fundamentally important role as a source, on the other hand; it also has a negative impact on the environment.
Using electricity responsibly and generally the resources available in the home is essential to make sustainable consumption both from an environmental and economic point of view. This goal can be pursued by taking different precautions, starting with the ‘Smart Monitoring’ of consumption recommended by the Ministry of the Environment and Energy Safety.
Durable and Transparent: Reset Model for Energy Supply
The need to optimize energy expenses in favor of a higher physiological sustainability has also influenced the consumer market, promoting the development of solutions that specifically allow for consuming less and reducing the costs of the bill. Among them is the innovative proposal of energy reset, a new electricity provider that will soon be operational in the Italian market (expected debut in mid-2025).
The project has come to life due to a community of active consumers, united by sensitivity to issues like reducing internal consumption. These are, unsurprisingly, some of the recurring themes of the content developed by the company and shared with those in the Reset community: via Instagram or through the Telegram channel. You can access tips and useful advice on how to better use the dishwasher and other devices, choose more energy-efficient products, and limit household energy expenses.
The energy supply model that Reset will propose to users will depend on two fundamental prerogatives: sustainability and transparency. The commercial offer will be structured in the form of a subscription to a fixed monthly rate based on different consumption bands; if consumption exceeds the threshold provided for the chosen band by the user, the excess energy will also be billed at a fixed cost that includes VAT, taxes, and fees (both system management and metering and transportation). Therefore, users will be able to benefit from clear and transparent cost reports, protected from surprises and hidden expenses.
Reset App for an Active Economy
In line with its goal of implementing a transparent supply model, Reset will develop and make available to its users a smartphone application. Its release will be provided in two phases and different types: first an online version that can be accessed via smartphones, and then a classic app that can be downloaded from stores. It will allow customers to monitor real-time consumption, view spending projections, and evaluate the possibility of saving compared to the range applied to their subscription. The app will be able to send ‘smart notifications’ to help consumers optimize electricity usage at home by reducing waste.
In terms of sustainability, the electricity provided by Reset will be 100% green, certified by the Original Guarantee that «certifies the renewable origin of the sources used by the plants qualified by GSE.» This is one of the most innovative aspects of the Reset offer, considering that most of the electricity produced in Italy is generated by non-renewable source-fed thermoelectric systems.
The app developed by the company will be an integral part of the Reset strategy aimed at encouraging sustainable and responsible users. The goal will be to make savings a concrete, training, and engaging activity, primarily through mechanisms that can provide tangible benefits to the most virtuous consumers. Reset will implement specific initiatives, which will then be included in the final commercial offer, to «reward» users who actually work to reduce internal consumption and, by reflection, the environmental impact.
Decalogue for Reducing Household Consumption
The supply model proposed by Reset can be an excellent stimulant to develop a more responsible consumption attitude, capable of translating into greater sustainability, not only environmental but also economic. Of course, consumer commitment will be more efficient, even more effective. In this sense, they can refer to the Decalogue published by the Ministry of the Environment and developed in collaboration with ENEA, the National Agency for New Technologies, Energy, and Sustainable Economic Development. The document provides ten useful rules for managing more efficient heating systems, namely:
- Install a boiler adjustment system that allows modulation of water temperature, also based on external weather conditions;
- Implement monitoring and consumption control; this way, it is possible to track consumer habits to identify waste and faults;
- Periodically clean and maintain plants;
- Check the climatic area in which the house is located and the maximum allowed number of hours of operation;
- Protect windows during the night;
- Do not cover radiator radiators;
- Do not leave windows open for too long during the day;
- Periodically perform a complete technical check regarding the efficiency of domestic plants;
- Install thermostatic valves for autonomous temperature adjustment in each of the rooms;
- Use state-of-the-art systems and devices such as thermostats, presence sensors, and distance regulators to limit plant usage only at times when it is really necessary.
From the Decalogue, as Masi points out, «A crucial theme emerges: conscious management of energy consumption,» followed by «Installation of monitoring and consumption control systems,» also known as «Smart Meters.» These devices have the ability to collect real-time data and make it immediately available to users; once installed – explains the Ministry of the Environment – «Collect information on daily, weekly, and monthly consumption, dividing it according to usage hours. These data, viewed through applications or digital panels, allow users to have a clear and detailed overview of their energy behaviors.» By monitoring consumption, as mentioned, it is possible to describe consumption patterns and identify any anomalies of a technical nature or in the operational environments of the plants. Choosing a flexible supply model, capable of adapting to the energy needs of your family, like the one that will be used in the coming months and implementing the few simple precautions listed above, can significantly contribute to reducing the environmental and economic impact of energy supplies.
