Recently, there have been rumors circulating about Apple working on their next generation, and Mark Gurman now reports that they may actually have two new models in the works. Building on his previous reports about a potential update on the 2022 Studio Display that could be launched next year, Gurman writes this weekend in the DOBLAR newsletter that sources said «Apple is working on a second new monitor.» The first one is codenamed J427, while the second one is named J527.
It has been three years since Apple introduced the $1,599 27-inch display, and Gurman mentions that one of two scenarios may play out given the age of both monitors. He suggests that either «Apple develops both and chooses one to launch, or there is a second model with a different screen size or set of specifications.»
