La compañía Jordan Aragón invertirá 8 millones en su planta de Figuerrulas en Zaragoza, aumentando la fuerza laboral a 30 personas

The company Jordan Aragón, specialized in cold metal stamping for the automotive, white goods, and altitude sectors, will invest 8 million euros to purchase and start two new presses at the beginning of this year, increasing production capacity by 50% and expanding the workforce to 30 people.

These two new presses, up to 1,250 tons, will be the largest cold stamps in Aragon, allowing for 70 million pieces annually and generating revenue of over 30 million euros by 2026. The need to implement the latest technology in the current market is driven by the promotion of electromobility projects and will also result in the employment of 30 people, adding to the current 125 employees.

The company is part of the Jordan group, with over 60 years of experience in heavy vehicle and related industries. It has six factories in Spain and a technical center in China (Guangdong), with a total workforce of around 800 employees, expected to reach 900 by the end of 2025. The company’s main activity is in the automotive sector, producing parts and structures for various systems including propulsion, doors, windows, suspensions, steering, safety, and hydraulic, pneumatic, and braking systems.

With a covered area of 17,000 square meters and an outdoor space of 4,000 square meters, Jordan Aragón is located in an industrial environment. In addition to cold metal stamping, the company also performs welding, metal coatings, assemblies, design, and construction of molds. They work with materials ranging from structural steels to high-strength aluminum alloys and stainless steel, used in electric vehicle structures and bodywork.

Jordan Aragón has a variety of presses and tonnage technologies for progressive, transfer, hybrid, and manual stamping processes. They work with a wide range of materials, from structural components to high aesthetic and technical requirements, including stainless steel, aluminum, and coated materials. The company also operates flexible and adaptive robotic facilities for resistance, arc, and high-strength welding processes in the white goods industry.

Mar Vaquero, the Vice President and Minister of Economy and Justice of the Government of Aragon, recently visited the factory along with other company officials. Mar Vaquero highlighted the company’s success factors, emphasizing their excellence in providing a variety of products across different fields, their diversification, and commitment to Aragon’s competitiveness.

The General Director of the Jordan group, Gregorio Morán, stressed the importance of the Aragon plant for the company’s strategic growth. He mentioned the strategic significance of Figueruelas for the company’s plans to continue offering competitive products with increased tonnage capacity.

The plant director at Figueruelas expressed pride and enthusiasm for the project, noting the stability provided by diversified clientele and new orders that ensure the plant’s continued success in the automotive industry.

Established in 1997, Zaragoza Metal Prints (EMZA) emerged from a family business focused on engineering, production, and tooling. Specializing in mass production of metal components through stamping processes, EMZA quickly became a reference in Zaragoza for such components. In 2009, Jordan Martorell acquired the company, integrating its operations in Puebla de Alfindén with the group’s resources in Catalonia.

The decision to rebrand as Emza Jordan Aragón in 2016 and relocate to Figueruelas was a strategic move to expand production capacity and leverage the geographical advantages of the new location. The company actively promotes job creation in its sphere of influence, supporting industrial vocations and participating in training initiatives with the automotive cluster of Aragon (CARAR) and other trade organizations.
