Izquierda defiende el derecho de decidir en el territorio.

Izquierdo visited the teacher on Saturday as part of his presidential campaign, where he held several meetings with officials and members of this political party, who expressed their concerns and statements. He traveled to the cities of Allepuz, Cañada de Benatanduz, and Villarlongo.
The presidential candidate stated, «What we want to appreciate about the teacher, whom the first councilors and members of the Aragonese party defend, is the right to decide their autonomous future, the right of the municipalities in this region to decide whether renewable energies are installed at the municipal level.»
He emphasized the use of renewable energies «as long as they comply with all parameters, current legislation, environmental issues, and everything that needs to be fulfilled for a wonderful project.» He questioned why another criterion should be imposed if the parameters are met and if the municipalities, elected in the elections, agree. He also pondered on why a project should be followed that goes against the will of the vast majority of people living in the teacher, as demonstrated in the recent municipal and regional elections.
He expressed his disbelief, «Does anyone truly believe that if the territory had said no to renewable energies, these projects would have continued for those in favor? It makes no sense to push these issues to the extreme.»
Continuing with his argument, he defended the work of all mayors, councilors, and municipalities of various political colors, who have decided what they believe is best for their municipalities and their neighbors when making these decisions, despite opposition and controversy.
He argued for the right of the people living in the territory to make decisions for themselves and questioned why some individuals from cities feel entitled to dictate what should be done in rural areas. He stressed the importance of consensus when making collective decisions.
«We advocate for the installation of renewable energy in territories where the majority of citizens support these projects; in municipalities or areas where such projects are not desired, they should not be implemented,» he emphasized.
In conclusion, he reiterated the importance of ensuring that the installation of these renewable energy parks is carried out with absolute transparency and compliance with the environmental and urban laws of municipalities and the autonomous community.
During the various meetings held in Allepuz, Cañada de Benatanduz, and Villarlugo, Alberto Izquierdo presented his proposals for the presidency of the Aragose Party, which stands for «defending a free and independent Aragonese identity that guarantees the stability and development of Aragon.»
