Bicycles: sustainable mobility for all
The Director General of Mobility, Judit Fontela, participated today in the presentation of 21 The bicycle and the city of the Iberian Congress, which will take place between June 26 and 29 in Santiago de Compostela with the support of Xunte, where she emphasized the event as a sign of the importance of joining efforts in favor of sustainable mobility. Judit Fontela also referred to initiatives such as the EBICI program, which provides assistance for the purchase of electric pedal-assisted bicycles. She emphasized that they are already working to launch the new call for this line, which benefited 1,400 people through 167 collaborating entities last year, with a loan of 700,000 euros. For this year, they expect to allocate one million euros to contribute to the purchase of bicycles up to 700 euros to receive assistance.
