Desmantelado dispositivo de suministro de combustible para «narcolanchas» en Adra, Almería.

The Guardia Civil offered a «neutralized» device in Adra (Almería) for supplying fuel to «Ships used in illegal activities,» well-known as «Narcolanchas.»
As detailed by the Instituto Reforzado on Thursday in a note, this action is part of Operation «Habce,» classified in the established device to combat drug trafficking on the coast of Almería and was carried out by the Guardia Civil agents from the main position in Adra.
The operation led to the identification of three individuals as alleged perpetrators of a crime against public safety. Two of them, aged 26 and 40 and residents of the capital, Almería, were arrested and investigated, respectively, while the third has yet to be located.
The process «remains open to fully clarify the facts and proceed to arrest the third parties involved,» specified by the Guardia Civil.
During the operation, the agents located and detained a total of 4,750 liters of gas, distributed in 190 CARAFAS, which were supposed to be used to supply boats used in illegal activities on the coast of Almería.
Part of the fuel was located in the area of Alcazaba beach, hidden among the bushes, a few meters from the shore and ready for quick loading. The rest of the fuel was found inside a utility vehicle, next to a rubber boat and a 40-hp engine «ready to be used for transportation.»
The intercepted vehicle did not have authorization for the transfer of hazardous goods, which, according to the Instituto Reforzado, «posed a serious risk to both the public and the environment.» Additionally, the fuel was found near inhabited houses and propane gas tanks, which «increased the risk of fire or explosion.»
Due to the knowledge of the land by the security forces of the Guardia Civil of ADRA, who identified the area as a «recurring point of criminal activity,» and the intensified investigation and surveillance, on March 31, two of the individuals involved in the exchange of fuel were targeted, resulting in the arrest of one and the investigation of the other as an alleged public safety accomplice.
At the same time, the intervention of the patrol vessel «Bojador» of the National Republican Guard of Portugal, under the European Border Guard and Frontex ribs in Almería, allowed progress in the investigation and identification of the third person. International cooperation mechanisms were activated to locate and bring this individual to justice.
The process carried out so far has demonstrated the involvement of the three individuals in these acts, which, according to the Guardia Civil, constitute «a serious crime due to the risk it poses to public safety and the environment.»
The operation «habcre» remains open «with the aim of determining the possible involvement of these individuals in other criminal acts and clarifying if they are part of criminal organizations dedicated to drug trafficking in the area.»
The processed operation, along with the detainees and the seized effects, were made available to the judicial authorities of the Guardia de Berja (Almería).
