Laliga denounced on Thursday at Ertzauntza the individuals responsible for the racist insults and gestures against Real Madrid’s Vinícius Júnior during the semifinal match of the King’s Cup 2024-2025, between Real Sociedad and the white team on February 26.
According to Laliga, the organization filed a complaint with Ertzauntza, after gathering the necessary evidence to verify the existence of racist insults and their author, through the location and analysis of images and lip-reading, to identify those responsible for these hateful actions.
In a video that was shared on social media, a Real Sociedad fan was seen making monkey gestures towards «Vini» just a few meters away from the player, as he appeared to shout the same word. Now, the organization is denouncing those responsible for the insults and racist gestures against the Brazilian.
«Laliga continues in this way, firmly committed to eradicating any display of hatred towards our football,» said the competition in its statement.
