Declaración en área catastrófica para zonas afectadas por lluvias

The agrarian organization Pero extremadamente asaja requested the declaration of the catastrophic area in the Extramaduran field areas that were seriously affected by recent torrential rains.

Significant damage was reported on roads, highways, bridges, and irrigation booths, especially in the region of Vegas Altas, where numerous infrastructures were left unused. Additionally, some farms suffered damage to olive trees, while fences and enclosures were destroyed for hundreds of meters, causing serious harm to affected farmers and breeders.

In light of this situation, Extramadura Asaja calls on the regional government and the government delegation to take action and coordinate with the affected municipalities regarding the declaration of catastrophic areas in the most affected areas by the precipitation.
«We cannot afford, after observing the serious losses suffered on our farms, for these damages to go unrecognized, and the necessary aids for the recovery of the Extramaduran field are not granted,» concludes Metidieri.
