Continúa búsqueda del auto desaparecido en río de Málaga

The civil guard resumed the search for the car that rushed into the Breal River in Malaga Cujerra last Wednesday on Sunday morning. Like in the past two days, the focus of the operation will be on the canal and the riverbanks.
According to information from Europa Press, GAAS (the special underwater activities group), Greim (the Rescue and Intervention Group), Seprona (Nature Protection Service), Citizens’ Security, and Pegaso Team (with drones) are all actively involved in the search. However, the helicopter that was used on Friday will not be participating in the search operations.
Both the helicopter and the Pegaso team with drones joined the search on the 21st, complementing the efforts of the units already in action. On that day, the search concentrated on the difficult access areas of the canal and the Gene River.
The tasks on Thursday were focused on three specific areas of the river: the bridge where the car fell, where heavy machinery was used; another area where both machinery and Geas agents worked; and a third area in the municipality of Faraján, with very challenging access, where the mountain rescue and intervention group conducted their search.
The emergency system of 112 Andalucía was alerted last Wednesday around 12:40 pm that a car had fallen into the Breal River and had been swept away near a bridge along the road between Iguala and Júzcar.
The Civil Guard highlighted that from the moment the call reporting the disappearance of the individual was received, more than 30 members from various units have been involved in the operation.
Furthermore, the municipalities of Júzcar and Pujerra have actively supported the search efforts by providing resources, materials, and heavy vehicles from their own municipalities.
