The president of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, expressed «full confidence» in her chief of staff, Miguel Ángel Rodríguez, following criticism from the opposition and ensured that it is «an honest and hard job.»
«My office chief has all my trust, and when he made a mistake and apologized, that is what he did in that example of that person in that residence,» the leader said at the press conference after the Government Council.
In addition, the president rejected the signs of journalists and emphasized that he does not appear in press conferences at the Moncloa and «those who are chosen are the average finger that I give,» in addition to the fact that he wants to create a «supercompoinicomism interministerial» to decide what it means to «tell the truth and what not.»
Therefore, Ayuso warned about the «casing that is done in the media,» something that is «so big» that it seems «anecdotal» to talk about her chief of staff. «He has been working with me for six years and he is an honest man, he is a hardworking man who is here to defend me. He is not here to carry out operations (…) it is like night and day that follow each other and one another,» he said.
