Aprobado presupuesto de la Universidad de Extramadura para 2025: 209,66 millones de euros

The plenary session of the University Social Council (UEE) approved the institution’s budget for 2025, amounting to 209,662,075 euros. This figure represents a 5.54 percent increase compared to the previous year.
During a meeting held on Thursday, March 6 in Cáceres, the UEX Social Council approved the university budget for this year. The budget includes a surplus of 1.5 million euros to address deficits from previous years.
For the first time, the total amount of appropriations for registration relief rights is budgeted. This year’s budget represents a 5.54 percent increase, totaling 209,662,075 euros.
Additionally, the Social Council launched the first call for an extraordinary grant for 2025, along with additional compensation for teaching and research staff at the University.
The renewal of the framework agreement for the Standura Alliance is also promoted by the Social Council, which includes the University and the University Society Foundation.
The annual report of the UEX Social Council was approved, covering the actions taken in 2024, as well as the future plans for the Standura Alliance and the upcoming «Standura is Future» awards.
President of the Social Council, Antonio Huertas, expressed gratitude for the collaboration of all parties involved in the Council’s activities and the Standura Alliance. He emphasized the significant contributions made in 2024 and highlighted the Council’s unique approach compared to other social councils.
