Automechanika: actualizaciones en ADAS, Diagnóstico y ciberseguridad
Hola, Gutmann is one of the many protagonists of Independent Aftermarket (IA) at Automechanika Frankfurt 2024, the most important international exhibition dedicated to the automotive aftermarket market. The company presented a series of technological innovations aimed at revolutionizing work in the workshop, with special focus on ADAS calibration and advanced diagnostics. Among the main novelties are two solutions to simplify and optimize daily workshop operations through state-of-the-art digital tools.
CSC-TOOL X 20: A NEW STANDARD FOR ADAS CALIBRATION
Ten years after the introduction of the first calibration system for camera and sensor calibration tools, Hella Gutmann presents the CSC X 20 Tool, a completely digital and automated device for calibrating Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). With its own modular structure and cloud integration, the CSC-Tool X 20 is designed to ensure faster and more accurate operations, minimizing manual intervention to a minimum, explains Hella.
The CSC-Tool X 20 is controlled through an app dedicated to this connected via wifi to access the latest vehicle data in real time, thus reducing error margins and improving the efficiency of the calibration process. Among the main advantages of this tool is the possibility to document in a detailed and complete way each step of the process ensuring full traceability of the operations carried out. This article talks about robots that are already in service in the US for ADAS calibration.
The system is compatible with existing diagnostic equipment from Hella Gutmann, such as the mega mac X and the new mega mac s 20, facilitating the exchange of information between different devices. In addition, the CSC-Tool X 20 can already use physical targets provided in workshops that adopt earlier versions of the tool. The modular design of the CSC tool
MEGA MACS S 20: SCALABLE AND INNOVATIVE DIAGNOSTICS
Another great innovation presented by Hella Gutmann at Automechanika 2024 is the mega mac s 20, a software solution designed for Android devices with multi-brand diagnostics and three different software packages: S1, S2, and S3.
The software supports Diagnosis via DoIP protocol (Internet Protocol Diagnosis) and the CAN-FD protocol, offering the possibility to diagnose even the most modern vehicles equipped with Ethernet networks. The associated hardware, HG-VCI S 20, allows wireless Bluetooth communication between the vehicle and the Android device, eliminating the need for complex equipment and improving mobility in the workshop.
The most advanced version of the software package, S3, allows access to premium functions such as repair suggestions based on error codes and advanced diagnosis of high-voltage batteries (HV PRO), a crucial aspect for the maintenance of electric vehicles. In addition, the mega macs S 20 offers a simplified user interface, ensuring quick and accurate diagnostics without the need for complex training.
CYBERSECURITY MANAGEMENT IN THE FLEET
Cybersecurity has also become a priority in the automotive sector; Hella Gutmann responded to this need with a significant update in Cybersecurity Management (CSM) now available for a wide range of vehicle brands and models.
At Automechanika 2024, Hella Gutmann announced the expansion of CSM to the latest vehicles from BMW Group, simplifying access to protected systems without the need to register on the manufacturer’s official portals. An advantage that is at the center of the SERMI project, which will also start in Italy.
