The Iberian Peninsula will experience a stable period on Sunday, except for a front from the Atlantic, the southern jacket, which will bring precipitation to Cadiz, Huelva, and Ceuta, according to the forecast from the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET).

During the early hours of Sunday, the atmospheric stability will be widespread, with fog and small morning clouds in the southern valleys and Pyrenees, dense and persistent in the province of Lugo, where a warning will be activated in the early morning.

This calm situation will be interrupted later in the day by the arrival of an Atlantic front through western Andalusia, causing a gradual increase in disturbances and mostly cloudy skies.

There is expected to be light to moderate rainfall in the southern and western regions, possibly strong and accompanied by thunderstorms. Scattered storms in other inland areas, such as Extremadura, are not ruled out later in the day.

By the end of the day, the weather is expected to stabilize again, with a decrease in disturbances and overall cessation.

In terms of temperatures, AEMET predicts that maximum temperatures will rise moderately in the central and northern regions of the Iberian Peninsula, while decreasing in the eastern and southwestern coastal areas. Many parts of the country will reach around 20ºC.

Minimum temperatures will see a widespread decrease of up to 5ºC to 10ºC, except in the Pyrenees where they will remain stable. Weak frosts are expected at high altitudes in the Pyrenees.

Winds will predominantly blow from the west in the eastern regions, with moderate to strong gusts. Strong gusts are expected on the Alboran and Ampurdán coasts, while the wind will blow from the east or north with strong intervals on the Galician coast.

In the Canary Islands, the sky will be mostly cloudy or clear, with intervals of clouds in the west in the morning and the possibility of light showers in the western islands, which will clear throughout the day. Winds in the islands will maintain a westerly or southwest flow, gradually easing.
